What VitalSite checks

AI Visibility scores your page 0–100 across six categories:

• Content clarity — direct-answer, question-led structure that models can extract cleanly.
• Technical SEO — canonical tags, Open Graph, and Core Web Vitals.

Why it matters

Traditional SEO optimizes for a crawler that ranks pages; AI visibility optimizes for a model that reads, summarizes and quotes your page inside a generated answer. A page can rank on page one of Google and still be invisible to an LLM. As AI answers replace more clicks, being one of the sources AI engines cite becomes its own channel.

How to fix it

Start with the lowest-scoring category. The highest-impact moves are usually: publish an llms.txt, add structured data (especially FAQPage), lead each page with a direct answer, and make sure AI crawlers are allowed in robots.txt. VitalSite returns specific recommendations per category.
